Arriving late at Suvarnabhumi after a flight delay
Check Airport Rail Link operating hours and the locations of the 24-hour taxi and Grab pick-up areas before travelling to your accommodation.
After immigration and baggage collection, check when you can actually leave the airport. Late at night, you can use the taxi and Grab pick-up areas at Suvarnabhumi’s main terminal.
Check Airport Rail Link hours first
The official airport guide lists Airport Rail Link operating hours as 05:30–24:00, with the station on basement level 1 of the main terminal. These operating hours are not the last train departure time at each station; check the information on site for the train you need to reach your destination.
Finding the public taxi pick-up area on level 1
Public taxis operate 24 hours on the inner roadway between gates 4 and 7 on level 1 of the main terminal. Take a queue ticket from the machine and go to the vehicle indicated. Check the cost, allowing for the THB 50 airport surcharge and tolls payable by the passenger. The taxi service desk enquiry number is +66 2 132 0360.
Use the designated Grab pick-up area
The designated Grab pick-up area is on the outer roadway outside gate 4 on level 1 of the main terminal and operates 24 hours. Book through the app, then check the vehicle shown and the designated location before going there.
Notify your accommodation and pre-booked transfer of the change
Ask your accommodation whether late check-in is possible and tell your pre-booked transfer provider your revised arrival time. Keep receipts for transport you pay for yourself, but check the flight and insurance policy conditions separately to find out whether the airline or insurer will cover the cost.
Can I take Grab if I arrive at Suvarnabhumi after midnight?
The official airport guide says the designated Grab pick-up area on the outer roadway outside gate 4 on level 1 of the main terminal operates 24 hours. Check available vehicles and waiting times in the app and on site.
