What can you see?
Look for giraffes and zebras on Savanna Safari
On Savanna Safari, stay in the vehicle as you travel through the herbivore zone. Giraffes, zebras and red kangaroos are among the featured animals. Instead of walking up to the animals, you look out of the vehicle as it passes through their habitat.
Predator Prowl, featuring tigers and lions
Predator Prowl is a predator-viewing route separate from the savanna route. It features animals such as tigers and lions, so even though both trips are by vehicle, they cover different zones and themes.
The two vehicle routes offer different kinds of viewing. Animals are not always active at night, so follow staff guidance and observe what is visible on the day from inside the vehicle.
Add walking exhibits and shows between vehicle routes
In addition to the Savanna Safari and Predator Prowl vehicle routes, there are walking exhibits and shows. The vehicle routes take you through animal zones, while in the walking areas you can stop in front of an exhibit. The routes and shows may be included in different booking packages.
Vehicle departures and shows each run at set times. Arrive in line with your booked date and start time, and allow a little time between waiting for a vehicle and getting to the show venue. Chiang Mai Night Safari is a different facility from Chiang Mai Zoo near Doi Suthep, with separate tickets.
