Chiang Mai: monthly weather and climate

Text and commentary:

Chiang Mai · Northern Thailand · mountains

Morning temperatures in Chiang Mai can fall to 15°C or below in January, while days are clear. In February and March, however, smoke from crop burning can make the sky hazy. Low rainfall does not necessarily mean clean air, so consider the timing of haze alongside the temperature when choosing your travel month.
