Krabi's dry season runs from December to April. Within that period, calm seas from January to March make island trips a good option. Rain increases and waves become rougher from May. Boat services may be cancelled, especially in September, so plans for visiting the islands can change.

The September description calls it the wettest month, but the monthly table gives 280 mm for September and 298 mm for October. The basic facts also list February as the hottest month, while the monthly notes point to April. These differences prevent a conclusive choice of one month.
