Ask the airline for the latest departure information. Keep the original schedule and delay notices. Ask about the assistance you need and how to obtain written proof of the disruption.

Check the operating airline and revised departure
Use the departure date in the airport’s local time and the actual operating airline shown on the ticket. Check the revised departure and whether your connection or checked baggage is affected. Keep the airline’s messages and your original itinerary.
Ask about the next steps before leaving the desk
Ask airline staff what happens to the onward flight and baggage, and which assistance applies to your flight. Do not treat support or compensation rules for a departure from Thailand as automatically applying to an outbound flight from another country.
Request the right evidence
A document proving that you travelled is different from one recording a delay or cancellation. Ask your insurer what document it needs, then follow the operating airline’s own issue conditions. Keep the request, reply and case number with any expense receipts.
Check the actual operating airline on the ticket. A marketing flight code or the booking seller may differ from the company operating the flight; use the relevant carrier guidance below.
Is a delay certificate the same as proof of travel?
No. They establish different things. Ask the receiving organisation which document it needs and check the airline’s issue conditions.
Does reporting to the airline also file my insurance claim?
No. Keep the airline’s case record and separately check your policy’s cover, evidence and claim procedure.
Thai phrases to show airport staff
Choose the male or female form to match the speaker, then show the Thai sentence you need to the staff member or copy it to send.
Request delay confirmation
At the counter or gate, ask about confirmation for a delayed flight.
