Thailand's weather varies between the Gulf of Thailand, the Andaman coast, the north and Bangkok, even in the same month. Comparing heat and rainfall in your destination can help you choose when to travel. Use the cards below to compare dry and rainy seasons, monthly temperatures and wetter months.
These are historical climate averages, not today's weather.

The estimated annual mean on each card is calculated from monthly temperature ranges. For a month listed as 22–32°C, for example, we use the midpoint of 27°C. We then add the 12 monthly midpoints and divide by 12. Every month has equal weight, so differences in month length, such as February and March, are not taken into account.
The source does not explain which observations the two ends of each temperature range represent, or whether every city uses the same observation period. This estimate therefore differs from an annual mean calculated from daily temperature observations. The warmer and cooler months shown on the cards compare each monthly midpoint with this estimate. Displayed values are rounded, but the comparisons use unrounded values.
The climate information is based on the monthly tables and methodology published by Greetings from Thailand. That site says it uses historical climate averages covering 30–50 years and lists several data providers. However, it does not give observation periods for individual cities or links to the providers' original statistical tables. Dry and rainy seasons and recommended months follow that site's guidance. ThaiLiveNow calculates the estimated annual mean, months above or below it, and wetter months using the method described here.
