Is TDAC free?
Yes. There is no fee to submit TDAC on the Immigration Bureau’s official site. Check that the address is tdac.immigration.go.th before starting.
Completing TDAC on your phone? Keep your passport, flight details and hotel booking beside you and work through the screens below. We explain where to enter your surname and given names, which arrival date to use and how to copy the accommodation address. After submitting, save the document on your phone so it is ready to show at the airport.
First check that the address bar shows tdac.immigration.go.th. This is the Thai Immigration Bureau’s official site and submitting TDAC is free. It is separate from the Thai e-Visa application website.
Complete it within three days before arrival, including arrival day. You need a new submission for every entry; a card from a previous holiday cannot be reused. Before starting, prepare your passport, inbound flight number, Thai local arrival date, English accommodation address and an email address for the document.
The examples below show the English mobile form. If someone travelling with you prefers another supported language, they can use the site’s language settings or their browser’s page translation. The location of these controls varies by phone and browser.
However you view the instructions, enter the details in English. Copy names and the passport number from the passport and the accommodation address from the English booking confirmation. The English screenshots below help you find the actual buttons and field labels.
For a new submission, tap Arrival Card. The adjacent Update Arrival Card button is for changing an already submitted declaration. Start with Arrival Card if this is your first submission for the trip.
The home screen also contains notices about 90-day reporting and work permits. These do not mean that TDAC lasts for 90 days or gives permission to work in Thailand. Use Arrival Card to declare your arrival for this journey.

Enter your surname in Family Name and given name in First Name. If your passport has no middle name, do not invent one to fill Middle Name. Match each name to its correct field, and copy the passport number into Passport No.
Nationality/Citizenship is your nationality; Date of Birth, Occupation and Gender ask for those personal details. Country/Territory of Residence is where you currently live, and City/State of Residence is your town or region. If you hold a British passport but live abroad, give your actual residence rather than automatically copying your nationality.
Visa No. is for the number of an issued visa. Do not invent a visa number if entering visa-free. Follow the required asterisks and distinguish optional fields. Phone No. separates the country code and telephone number. Tap Continue when you have finished.
Retrieve with Passport is unavailable in the screenshot below. If the passport MRZ-reading feature described in the official guide is not available, enter details manually from your passport. Even after an automatic scan, compare names and the passport number with the document.

The travel stage separates Arrival Information and Departure Information. Start with Arrival Information and use your ticket. Find the local date and number of the flight landing in Thailand, rather than copying the date you leave the UK.
For a holiday on a regular passenger flight, choose HOLIDAY, AIR and COMMERCIAL FLIGHT. These choices describe that particular journey. Do not copy them for business, study or an entry by land or sea.
In a country search field, type the English country name or three-letter code, then select the matching item in the results. If boarding in the UK, search for the United Kingdom and choose the matching country. Typing a code alone is not enough: make sure the selected country appears in the field.

Below the arrival details is Departure Information. These dates and flight numbers describe leaving Thailand, rather than leaving the UK. For a return flight, copy the Thai local departure date and flight number from the return ticket.
The captured form does not mark departure details with required asterisks. If you have not fixed these details, do not invent a date or flight number. An optional field is separate from the need to demonstrate return or onward plans at immigration.
Use Clear to remove an incorrectly chosen departure travel mode. Read the section heading so you do not confuse arrival AIR with departure AIR.

Open your booking confirmation and find the accommodation’s English address. This stage asks where you will stay in Thailand, not your home address in the UK. Copy the location and address from the booking or the property’s official details rather than relying on its name alone.
Required fields may change with the accommodation type. In the captured form, choosing HOTEL removed the required asterisks from District and Sub-District. Do not assume every accommodation type behaves the same way: follow the asterisks on your own form.
Choose Province first, then District, Area, then Sub-District, Sub-Area to make the lower-level lists available. Choose the location matching the property’s address, even where names are similar. For accommodation in Bangkok, select BANGKOK as the province.
I am a transit passenger, I don’t stay in Thailand concerns transit passengers who will not stay in the country. Do not choose it simply because you have no hotel booking. It may be unavailable depending on previous selections; if entering Thailand for a holiday stay, enter your actual accommodation.

The health stage asks for countries or territories where you stayed during the two weeks before arrival. If travelling directly after staying in the UK, select the UK; if you also stayed elsewhere in that period, include your actual history. This is not a list of Thai cities you intend to visit.
Type the English country name or code and select the matching result. Passport nationality, residence, the country where you boarded your Thailand flight and recent stays are different questions. Do not automatically copy the same country into every field when travelling through several countries.
A vaccination notice referring to Ministry of Public Health requirements appears above. The official guide says additional health information may be requested depending on recent countries, boarding country, nationality or flight. Answer the questions and document requests actually shown for you. The captured basic screen followed a Korea example and does not establish which extra fields a British traveller will see.
Tap Preview after completing the details. Previous returns to the preceding stage; Add Other Travelers adds another person. Do not substitute one traveller’s country history for another person’s.

Read the names, passport number, nationality and date of birth again, together with arrival date, boarding country, inbound flight and accommodation address. Use Edit to correct mistakes. EXAMPLE in the screenshot is a demonstration: it was not submitted as a real arrival declaration.
Enter an email address you can receive messages at in the email field at the bottom. It is not a name field: check the spelling on both sides of @. Using an inbox you can open on that phone makes the document easier to find afterwards.
Read the Terms and conditions. If you agree, tick the box yourself and tap Submit. The submit button remains unavailable without the agreement. Opening Preview does not finish your submission.
If submission returns an error or no completed document appears, do not assume it succeeded. Look for the completion message and actual TDAC document before saving it.

A successful submission provides a completion message and TDAC download. The official video shows both the completion screen and document. The image below is an example from that official video, captured in a mobile browser. The video contains an older desktop example, so its layout may differ from the current mobile form.
After downloading, compare the name, passport details and arrival date with your own journey. Keep the card number and any QR code shown with your document, and find the emailed copy too. Do not use the example number or QR code from the video as your own entry document.
Save the downloaded file so you can open it without an internet connection. Keeping the actual file rather than just an email link makes it accessible if the airport connection is unreliable. You can carry a printed copy if needed.
Keep the document ready to show on arrival and retain it during your stay. A completed TDAC is not a visa or entry permission. Your visa or exemption conditions and immigration clearance remain separate.

Tap Update Arrival Card on the first screen. The captured search screen asks for the TDAC number, date of birth, arrival date and nationality. Use your document and passport to fill these in, then tap Search.
The official FAQ says passport name, passport number, nationality and date of birth cannot be changed. If one of these is wrong, submit a new form with the correct information. Update eligible details such as accommodation before entering Thailand, resubmit and save the replacement document.
The screen below searches for an existing submission. If you have not submitted a form, return to Arrival Card and start a new one rather than looking here for a TDAC number.

Yes. There is no fee to submit TDAC on the Immigration Bureau’s official site. Check that the address is tdac.immigration.go.th before starting.
You can use a supported site language or browser translation to read instructions. Enter the details in English, copying passport names and number from the passport and the accommodation address from the English booking.
Yes. Children and infants, and British visitors using visa-exempt tourist entry, each need TDAC details. It applies to non-Thai arrivals. Transit without passing through immigration is exempt.
No. Submitting TDAC does not issue a visa. An arrival declaration and a visa are separate. A British traveller using visa-exempt tourist entry must meet those conditions; a purpose requiring a visa needs that visa too.
Submit a new form with the correct name. Passport name, passport number, nationality and date of birth cannot be changed. Correct eligible details such as accommodation through Update Arrival Card before entering Thailand, then resubmit and save the document.
No. Flight No./Vehicle No. takes the airline code and flight digits of the flight arriving in Thailand, as shown on your ticket. It is not the booking reference or seat number.
No. Date of Departure in Departure Information is the local day you leave Thailand. This may differ from arrival in the UK, so use the Thailand departure part of the return ticket.
The captured form removed the required asterisks from District and Sub-District after HOTEL was selected. Requirements depend on accommodation type, so follow the asterisks on your own screen.
No. Select the countries or territories where you actually stayed during the two weeks before entering Thailand. Do not list the Thai cities you plan to visit.
No. Preview is a review stage before submission. Enter your email, read and accept the applicable terms, submit and then look for successful completion and the TDAC document.
